Hi everybody, this is your latest from the Movie Man unfortunately I once again will not be able to show the movie scheduled for tonight. Jere Buchner has been kind enough once again to take my place in showing "The Greatest Showman" Really a great movie--Don't miss it!
I had to go into the hospital once again Mid week because The Heart Group who I'm dealing with ordered a heart Catheter for me. They didn't like readings they were getting on my EKG.
So I had the cath done Wednesday. They found osbtructions so they kept me on the table & put a "stent" in my one vessel. I got out of the hospital late last night after some turmoil about being dismissed earlier in the day & had to have a Sonagram done before leaving which I might add turned out ok. So I'm kind of sore right now from all these procedures.
Again I want to thank everybody for coming to the movies. God Bless!

If anybody has questions on how movie night works call me at 717-824-2603. It has been a tradition to have free popcorn, however whoever takes it over you can run it the way you like.
If you don't want to serve anything other than the movie, that's up to you. Nick Bitzer will be available to show you how the equipment operates. This is agood adventure for a husband & wife team to get involved. Its not hard. Nick & Betty lou Bitzer can help you get started.

Hi Folks! And to whoever is watching. Movie Night can continue, however if it does it will more than likely be without the popcorn machine & supplied snacks. That is my offer. I don't mind showing the movies but the prep for popcorn & cleanup & all that goes with it, for the attendance we've been getting isn't wortn the effort. Sooo! My proposition for movie night is to continue but without supplying the snacks. You have to bring your own!!
The ideal situation would be for people to step up volunteers for the kitchen & to maybe have dinner & a movie one Friday a month. But in order to accomplish this we would need dedicated kitchen people to drum up & serve meals. It wouldn't have to be anything fancy but somewhat like they have for bingo night. BBQ sandwiches or hot dogs--something in that order. Movie Night could be made a lot better if more people would get involved with their ideas.

Nick that really is great news if you can still run the movies. I'll work with events and HOA to see how we can help with snacks or whatever else you may need.

Here's the latest from your MOVIE MAN. "Aquaman" will be presented MAY 3rd You can expect a lot of classics this year both old & new. For the latest movies I will be ordering the Avenger's End Game. So don't spend money to go out & see it. It may not be out on disc until fall or winter though. I have the movie "Glass" which I should be getting soon. This movie is a followup on the 2000 movie "Unbreakable" which I may show first. June will be the classic Burt Lancaster/kirk Douglas classic "7 days In May" All movies put out before 1968 have no rating. However' we still watch for the amount of suggestive nudity & fowl language in a movie. I will be showing R movies this year that have very quick nude scenes & some fowl language. I will warn you as such. Extreme "gore" won't go either but there will be some blood. I will warn you as such. EXAMPLE: Sometime this year I will be showing the movie "Witness" which has a quick nude scene, some fowl language, & blood. But I don't feel that it is extreme enough to dis-allow the showing of such movies. All R's will be scrutinized. There are some "R's that every other word I the movieis the "F" word. Those movies won't go. Sex is a way of life, so as long as they aren't very long scenes that will also go. Extreme bloody scenes example "Chainsaw Massacre" you won't see at the community center. There is one I'd like to show that I have reviewed that has fowl language but not a lot & some suggestive sex scenes but not a lot. The movie "Warriors" from 1979 I've reviewed & feel that with warnings to the audience this movie would be appropriate. Also movies like "Private Ryan" the #1 movie in 1998 would be appropriate but warning would exist for violence, blood & language. Most Comedy's, War movies & Westerns today are rated R. Bottom Line Is: R's will be shown but language, nudity, exsplicit sex,Gore tking up most of the movie will not go!! Anyway we'll see what happens. As several of you suggested, we are all adults here. If I do get numerous complaints about a movie shown. Then I will have to tone it down some. I'm doing this for the peole in this community & I certainly don't want to make "waves". Thank You & Enjoy the movies this year. Keep watching Chit-Chat for coming movies. "Your Movie Man"
